An English teacher at Denver's Metropolitan State College is being investigated by the college for bias, bullying and harassment after he gave students in his class an assignment to "undermine" the Republican portrayal of vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin.

The professor in question, Andrew Hallam, has resumed teaching and presented a slightly altered version of the assignment. Janna Barber, the student who exposed Hallam, said that he " singl[ed] out Republican students and allowed other students to ridicule them," according to Fox news. The thing about this story is that it happens every day at every college in the country, it is just that no one reports it! I have personally had experiences similar to Ms.Barber's. It is unfair to feel that your professor is bulling you in any situation, and I empathize with Ms.Barber. Philip J Berg, a powerful attorney, and a democrat no less, has filled suit against Barack Obama alleging that he is ineligible to run for the presidency based on his possibly having been born outside the United States. Try to follow with me on this because it gets confusing. First, Obama's short draft birth certificate, which was posted on his website, is said to be a fake. This was denied by factcheck.org who claimed the document was original. Factcheck.org however happens to be owned by Annenberg of Chicago...the same Annenberg of Chicago that Obama chaired for many years. Conflict of interests? Maybe.

Now it gets confusing. Obama may have been born in Kenya. Why? His grandmother has apparently been telling people how proud she was to be in the room at Obama's birth...in Kenya. This story is somewhat backed up by the fact that Obama and his sister named different hospitals in Hawaii as his place of birth. None of this really matters though, since Obama likely became a citizen of Indonesia as a child. Indonesia was a warring country and required that Obama not have duel citizenship. The fact that Obama attended school in Indonesia makes it almost impossible for him not to have become an Indonesian citizen. If this were true then Obama would be a naturalized citizen, even if he was indeed born here, since he would have lost his citizenship in Indonesia. Obama is blocking the suit currently. Part of our problem is that we have a big government, controlled by big business. I’m not concerned with either, I’m concerned with individual freedom. A smaller government that spends less will be controlled less. Special interest groups would have no real reason to lobby if special interests weren’t being catered too.

Adam Smith wrote that the government has three roles (and I quote):
1)protecting the society from the violence and invasion of other independent societies
2)protecting, as far as possible, every member of the society from the injustice or oppression of every other member of it
3)erecting and maintaining certain public works and certain public institutions (which the profit could not repay the expense to any individual or small number of individuals)

1 and 2 are simple. Military and Police. 3 has become perverted over time. Our government believes, as Obama does, that Smith’s third rule means taking from the rich and giving to the poor. It no longer means “build roads” or “build libraries,” but rather, “welfare,” “midnight basketball,” “medicare” etc. The government needs to assume a smaller role and let everyone (rich and poor) keep more of their money. Are we really profiting from what the government is spending their money on? Is Social Security a good deal for you? It certainly isn’t for me! Get the government to stop spending, stop taxing, stop wasting, and you will see less business and special lobby influence. That is why your gas is still so expensive. Oil owns government, and Obama just wants more government, more spending.

At liberal-education.com we believe that we need someone to cut spending, reduce government, and let us keep our own money. We are this close to becoming a communist country (government owns industry [25 billion bailout, auto], lending [800 billion banks]) where will it stop? With a 1,000,000,000 in new Obama spending? No. It is not the government’s right to take your money or mine, and the more of our own money we have (rich and poor) the more the market will flourish!

After Tuesday’s presidential debate the trend I have long noticed continued on.  The trend to which I speak is that of the liberal media doing any, and everything, within their power to make the right look like they had failed.  After the VP debate every news channel was saying only positive things about Palin’s performance, but the spin started the next day and sounded to the tone of: “why did she even bother to show up?”  Even foreign countries, who undoubtedly want a president that will roll over and fetch their slippers (and Obama like every liberal will go around to foreign countries apologizing for being American) are getting into the bias act:

ANALYSIS:Erratic, irascible, fidgety - it is John McCain who looks like a cornered loser, while Barack Obama exhibits cool intelligence and grace under pressure, writes DENIS STAUNTON

We all know how Obama is apparently ahead (haven’t I heard this before?)  If you take the time to open that link, you will see that the media is nothing but a bunch of static, meant to sway weaker conservative minds into believing that Obama can’t loose.  It amazes me that people are so anxious to throw a big spending (10% rating according to citizens against government waste), socialist, with only a couple of years of training into the white house.  Has anyone stopped to think that Obama has spent less time as a Senator then he would be guaranteed to spend as president?  Scary stuff.

I would like to take this opportunity to discuss why I decided to dedicate a site to opposing college professors with liberal bias.  The fact of the matter is that I have had many an uphill battle against teachers who disregard fact, and only focus on their own myopic opinions.  I have spent time arguing in class with college staff that it would be bad for America to become (more of) a socialist country.  I have been given failing grades for writing of the merits of capitalism.  It is because of this that I wanted to create a forum for people to exchange information on bias teachers.

Since the Washington Post revealed that 72% of college teachers thought of themselves as “liberal,” those of us who are not face an uphill battle.  While not all liberal teachers are bad teachers, those who cannot see both sides of the coin are indeed bad teachers.  Teachers should seek empirical knowledge and not just spout out the same old drivel that they have believed since the 60s.  The facts remain that more socialist/communist countries, in more parts of the world, have done more harm, to more people, than any culmination of capitalist societies.  If you don’t believe me just think:Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, etc.  That liberal professors keep telling students that communism and socialism are good, is just plain wrong.  In theory it’s a lovely idea, in practice you get tyrants, corruption, murder, and chaos.  When will they learn?

School vouchers have always been a hot topic. While most parents would love the option of being able to decide where their children go to school there are those on the left that cry “foul.” The old argument is that allowing parents the right (and it should be a parent’s right) to decide what ‘school and teacher‘ their children have will create segregation all over again.  This premise, however, is unfounded.  Vouchers give any parent the right to look for the best education for their child.  If anything vouchers would promote less segregation as people from all backgrounds would naturally flood into the list of schools with the best reputations. 

The idea is that of personal freedom.  Currently schools do not have to compete, and thus there is no reason for them to perform better.  We are stuck with overly liberal professors, and other college staff who are more concerned with research than teaching.  The government has simply been pumping more of our money in to the schools, the result: see for yourself-

The answer, privatize the schools and get the government out of the education business.  The facts speak for themselves, the more government money and involvement, the lower the student achievement.  Put the power back in the hands of students and parents to decide the course of their own education.
